Sky Views Observatory is a modern observation deck located 219 meters above ground at the top of the Address Sky View hotel. It provides a unique vantage point of the Burj Khalifa and features several adrenaline-focused attractions, including a transparent Glass Slide and the Edge Walk along the building’s outer perimeter. The site is designed for visitors who want an interactive experience beyond a standard viewing platform, set against the backdrop of Dubai’s futuristic city center.
This attraction is ideal for young travelers, couples, and families with teenagers looking for striking social media content. It is not the best choice for those seeking solitude, as queues frequently form at the most popular photo spots.
The most practical time to visit Sky Views is on weekday mornings if your goal is to take photos without crowds in the background.

What to know beforehand
The Glass Slide experience is brief, with the actual descent lasting only about five seconds. Ensure your camera is ready before you start. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited on the Edge Walk. All personal belongings must be stored in the provided lockers; professional onsite photographers will capture photos for you.
If you have a fear of heights, start your visit in the center of the observation deck and gradually move toward the glass floor. Although the structure is perfectly stable, the floor's transparency can cause slight vertigo for some visitors.

A standard entry ticket typically includes access to the observation deck and one ride on the glass slide. If you wish to use the slide again, additional tickets can be purchased inside the venue.
The Edge Walk requires a separate ticket, which is significantly more expensive than standard admission. The price includes a safety briefing, the rental of specialized equipment, and the experience itself under professional supervision. It is highly recommended to book your slot in advance, as availability for the Edge Walk is limited.
For a first visit, the standard ticket is sufficient. It covers all the primary features: the panoramic elevator, the glass bridge between the towers, and one ride on the transparent slide.
This is the most practical choice if your goal is to photograph the Burj Khalifa and experience a mild adrenaline rush without unnecessary spending. If you want to use the slide again, you can purchase additional rides on-site.
The Edge Walk is only recommended if you are specifically seeking an extreme experience and are prepared for a significantly higher cost. This is an outdoor attraction that requires time for safety briefings and preparation.
It is not worth paying the premium just for the scenery, as the views from the main observatory are virtually identical to those from the ledge.
The most effective way to plan your visit is to arrive 60 to 90 minutes before sunset. Although this is the most popular time, it allows you to see Dubai in three stages: daylight, the "golden hour," and the evening lights. To secure a spot during these hours and avoid higher prices, book your tickets in advance.
This is particularly important for the Edge Walk, where capacity is strictly limited.
Good day for viewpoints and panoramic photos: distant details should read clearly.

How to get there
AddressDowntown Dubai: Standard Chartered Tower and Address Sky View.
Route accessibilityThe observation deck is wheelchair accessible, but physical restrictions apply to the Glass Slide and Edge Walk.
How to find the entrance
Access the Sky Views Observatory through the dedicated entrance in the Address Sky View hotel lobby (Tower 1). If arriving via the metro, follow the signs directly to the hotel rather than entering the main Dubai Mall. You must present your e-ticket at the entrance.
We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes before your scheduled time slot to clear security and avoid potential delays at the elevators.
Practical limits & what to bring
Height and weight restrictions apply to both the Glass Slide and Edge Walk: participants must be between 120 cm and 200 cm tall and weigh between 30 kg and 120 kg. The age requirement is 12 to 65 years, and minors must have parental consent.
Wear comfortable clothing. Skirts, dresses, and loose footwear without backstraps, such as flip-flops, are prohibited for the Edge Walk. Additionally, visitors wearing clothing with sharp metal parts or accessories that could scratch the glass are not permitted on the Glass Slide.
Location and what's nearby
The observatory is situated adjacent to Emaar Square and the city's primary transport links. This central location makes it easy to combine a visit with a trip to the Dubai Mall or the Dubai Fountain show.
The observation deck offers a direct view of Sheikh Zayed Road, providing a clear perspective of Dubai’s extensive transport infrastructure from above. On clear days, the Burj Al Arab and the city's coastline are visible on the horizon.

Sky Views Observatory opened in late 2021 as part of the Address Sky View hotel complex. The project was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the same architectural firm responsible for the Burj Khalifa. The observatory was developed to meet the increasing demand for immersive tourist experiences.
Engineers aimed to create a dynamic space where architecture and adventure intersect, rather than a traditional static viewpoint. Since its opening, the location has become one of the most visited attractions in Downtown Dubai.
